Dr. Michael L. Miller

Cardiovascular Surgeon


Michael L. Miller, MD is from Marietta, Georgia and graduated medical school from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia in 1996. Dr. Miller completed his general surgery residency at Keesler Medical Center, Keesler AFB, in Mississippi in 2002. In 2005, Dr. Miller completed a fellowship in vascular surgery from the University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Miller became board certified in vascular surgery through the American Board of Surgery in 2014. He has been Chief of Vascular Surgery at Eglin Hospital, Eglin Air Force Base, since November 2005. He has maintained a medical license in Louisiana since 1997 and in Florida since 2007.

Since 1998, Dr. Miller has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors including Clinical Surgeon’s Award, Surgeon General’s Award in Vascular Surgery, and twice honored with the Surgeon General’s Award in Cardiothoracic Surgery by the Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons. He was enlisted in the United States Marine Corp for 6 years, commissioned in the United States Air Force in 1992, and the United States Air Force Medical Corps from 1996 to present. His service includes four tours of duty as a Theatre Vascular Surgeon during Operation Iraqi Freedom in Joint Base Balad, Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom in Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. Dr. Miller concluded his career in the United States Air Force in the fall of 2014.
